After last weeks news that Facebook would be the home of a new FPS called Brave Arms, EA have made themselves one of the first major developers to jump on this newly forming bandwagon. Boss at EA, Peter Moore has said that an 'simpler' version of Madden will appear on the social networking site in order to spread word the increasingly popular title.
While the Madden series' popularity lies mainly in the US, the titles success has been growing in the UK with more exposure to the sport being made overseas. The aim is to generate growth though the sales of games played online and purchases for mobile versions of the title. Moore said that Madden NFL on Facebook would be a "simpler experience," to that of the console version.
"We have to make Madden more accessible." Moore continued, "You'll see us on Facebook going forward." With the gaming giants already showing their internet intention after the purchase of Playfish Inc. It looks as though there could be more of the same to come from EA. You never know, a Dead Space release may even push us into clicking on the 'Forgotten Password?' link.
